Singapore's tourism sector has set another record even as the first physical infrastructure to welcome the Formula One race in Singapore gets underway. Singapore saw almost a million visitors in July - the highest ever in a single month.
The sterling numbers were announced by Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang at the groundbreaking of the F1 Pit Building.
And as Jermyn Chow reports, organisers are confident that Singapore will hold F1's first night race.
