The colourful Alkaff Bridge at Robertson Quay is undergoing major maintenance work. It was built in 1997 and painted in 2004 by the late Filipino artist Pacita Abad, who died after she completed the piece. The latest maintenance work, which includes cleaning, touching up paintwork and varnishing, was started two weeks ago and will take up to a month to complete.
